stock nose bra installation

Hello to fellow Miniformers:

I am curious as how much trouble it involves to put on/take off the stock nose mask for 06 MCS? Does it require any removal of clips, screws, etc? I have a stock full bra for another car. It's not fun to put it on since there are many hooks, straps and involving removal of 2 hood insulator clips. I will only use it for long trip and clear bra is just not my thing.

Anyone has a scanned instruction page would be perfect. Thanks in advance.

The problem with car bras, is that while they might prevent rock chips, they do far more damage to paint by trapping moisture, rubbing on the paint, etc.

If you have not purchased yet, get the Colgan bra. Much better than the MINI bra.
I can't help much with the stock type but the Colgan is very easy.
Also, counter to what some say it does not damage the paint if used wisely.

Have a Colgan nose mask and use it only for road trips and remove it when it's parked overnite. It takes less than five minutes for installation and it's easy. Sofar there has been no damage to the paint. I do like the bug screening for the radiator and SC that is designed into the mask .

Thanks. I understand some people have concern of bra causing more damage to paint. That's why I have no intention to leave it on 24/7, but only on long trip. I also suspect it's too late for me to get clear bra due to some very small chipped spots. Anyway, I will check out the colgan unit. Many thanks.
