E-brake Question

If you drive forward with your ebrake up enough to cause your brake light to come on does this cause your DSC to light up also? I have a 04 MCS and trying to find out if the brake light is causing the DSC light.

according to MINI one notch up activates the light and applies no pressure to the brakes. at 2 notches pressure is applied and at 4 notches the wheels should lock up. if at one notch one of the rear calipers is slightly appling pressure and the other one is not, then the DSC controller might turn on the light due to different speeds coming from the rear wheels.

you could try jacking up the rear and setting one noth on the e-brake and see if either wheel spins freely. if they both do spin freely then your gonna have to get the codes read to see whats causing the lights.
