This is not spam or an ad in any way. Erebuni is selling CF hoods for dirt cheap. The price does not include shipping, so expect to tack on another $150-$200 for that.

So tempting!! Geez, even if they tack on $300 shipping, it's not a bad deal. Considering that a CF hood scoop from MINI is like $300...

I'm going to talk with a MINI bodyshop, but I'm told by others that it's an easy TWO man job. I guess I'll find out.

Not sure where to buy the other parts, but I know NAM member CooperGear can help you get ANYTHING you want to look like Carbon Fiber. You may want to send him an IM.

Wow, I was really considering getting it for my R56 MCS (which isn't here yet), until I saw the pics from that link....just didn't look appealing to me. Not sure if it was b/c of the A panels or what...Anyone else have photos of CF hoods on their Minis (preferrably CR)?

125 bucks is still to much for wall paper carbon over bath tub style fiber glass trust me on that one. If you get one of these, start with a fiber glass shop and reenforce the hinge area, the head lights tabs, etc, etc, etc until it weight more than the steel bonnet If you are going for look only, go for it , just make sure you dont tutch anything and I mean anything!!!!

It would NOT fit your R56.

It's also a 1 piece (the scoop can not be pulled out and swapped with another one)... I about bought the last one yesterday, but decided not to.

I'm curious to see how the quality of these hoods are. According to the gentleman I talked to yesterday, their quality blows VIS out of the water. When I asked him about "their's vs. VIS's," he laughed and began to knock VIS's quality. Back when I was looking at body kits from Erebuni (years ago), they were extremely cheap (quality wise). I don't know if that's still the case or not, but I guess we'll see.

as a person with a CF hood. if it aint a VIS hood, your outta luck.
$125 for a CF hood is just insane. im ordering one just to see what kind of crap it is.
im going to pick it up though, i live minutes from them.

People, it's not a $125 hood, it's an $800 hood that's being sold for $125. A little bit of a difference.
