Horn not working...

Here's a strange one....
washing the Mini the other day and didn't realize until after spraying the roof down real good that the drivers window was down a 1/2". The inside got decently wet, soaked it all up (after cursing myself for several minutes) and I thought all would be OK.
When I was all done, I turned it on and backed it into the garage. 2 seconds after backing in the horn started to blow and wouldn't quit. This went on for about 1 minute as I frantically tried to figure out whatt was happening (that horn in a the closed space of a garage is REALLY LOUD!!!!!!). It ended up stopping on its' own but now the horn doesn't work at all.
Any ideas what happened? Is there a fuse for the horn I need to replace?

i'm sure you just blew a fuse. Should be just left of your left leg if you're sitting in the driver's seat.

Sounds like your MINI was letting you know how pissed off it was.

Makes me think of the "Horn not working - watch for finger" bumper stickers.

I'm pretty sure (but not 100% sure) that when you pull the panel off, there should be a label on the side of the removable panel which lists which fuse is for the horn.

My truck has a diagram in the manual. Not sure about my MINI though.

There is a thread on here somwhere, let me find it.

Edit: Here is a start; https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...highlight=fuse

A search will probably help you find what you want.

My '06 MCS shows F28 (15 Amp) as the horn symbol on a drawing on the fuse box cover. Hope this helps.
