Unknown Drivetrain Noise

My '04 JCW started emitting an unusual noise a few hundred miles ago and I need a little free diagnostic help. It sounds as a speed dependant (as opposed to RPM dependant) howl and I think it is coming from driver side front. I rotated the wheels (5000 miles after lst rotation) and it did not help. Possibly a wheel bearing? Shouldn't be a problem after 60000 miles.
Any suggestions?

Noise from front end

Phillip

Sounds like a similar noise that I am experiencing with my 03 Cooper - I was told it was a wheel bearing. Just ordered replacements (mechanic suggested replacing both at the same time). I only have 62000 on mine but it appears as a common problem. Good luck
