R50/53 Need some advice

Need some advice

I was just wondering if anyone could help me decide what kind of ignition system to get for my mini. I was told that is is a good idea to change outt he plugs/wires/coil but i dont know what to use?

Really, unless you have some indication that your engine is misfiring, or you've made substantial modifications to the engine, there's nothing to be gained by changing out any of those components, other than at the recommended service intervals in the case of the plugs and wires.

The sole purpose of the ignition system is to ignite the air/fuel mixture in the combustion chamber. As long as it's doing that reliably every combustion cycle, going with a higher-voltage coil, lower-impedence plug wires, or multi-tipped iridium/platinum/unobtanium spark plugs isn't going to change anything.
