Being you were a victim of a felony hit and run, your insurance company shouldn't have a problem with your claim. Hope the cops can track that SOB down.

Holy CRAP.

First, glad you were okay and that there were no passengers to be hurt.

Second, seeing photos of a MINI all beat up like that always breaks my heart.

Third, that truck driver now has got some karma on his back that you couldn't PAY me enough to want. Even if he did get away this time, he'll get his.

Dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmn... as someone who deals with accidents five days a week, I know when someone is lucky to walk away with no/minor injuries. YOU, my friend, were fortunate.

However, if you look at it from another perspective, you were very UNlucky, to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Through no fault of your own, your life was put at risk and your MINI is lost.

Although I doubt the chances are even remote, I hope the police are able to track down the other driver. And I hope your insurance company makes a fair settlement (and your state has a low Uninsured Motorist Deductible).

Glad you're okay !!

Wow, I am glad to hear that you escaped with some minor scrapes and such. It is sad to see another MINI go, but they seem to keep thier occupants in pretty good condition during crashes!

Wow, glad to hear that you came through the accident all right. That must have been some wild ride when you left the road and flipped. Best of luck in dealing with the insurance and getting yourself a replacement MINI. Abolutely shameful that the pickup driver didn't stop to render aid - hope he gets his.

Glad you are OK. On the bright side, I don't think you will need to sweat over whether it just meets the threshold to be totalled or not.

Must have been a wild ride. Do you remember anything?

I'm guessing it must be Gerble hunting season where you are. I'm very glad you are OK. Cars can be replaced.

Hmmm, leaving the scene of an accident??? Thats horrible!!! I am glad you are OK, and I am so sorry for the loss of your car.
I hope they find the ****ing a$$h*ole that did that to you. Maybe if the law enforcement is set up in your area to give rewards for people who turn in law breaking sons of ***ches like that, you'll get him! Carma has this way of catching up to people like that. What comes around goes around, and he's in for a hell-of a ride now.
I hope everything works out for you, and you get a new car coming soon.
By the way, the last car that I had that was hit (T-boned amd totalled) was bright yellow also. A conspiracy maybe?

I hope the cops find the truck--that's just awful. Make sure to check all the nearby body shops. There was an incident a few weeks ago of a young lady crossing the street who was hit by a Mercedes (car suffered considerable damage--I assumed she died because she flew like 100feet) and the driver ran, and I read a few days ago that the Mercedes was located at a body shop.

I always wondered what the bottom of our cars looked like.

On another note, I hope they do catch that coward, drunk or not, there is no reason ever to run from a serious accident.

Good point on checking the local body shops.

The hit & run driver could've killed Gerble & it didn't matter, they ran. A real low life from the shallow end of the gene pool. Damn pond scum.

Let's form a posse and hunt em down, sons of ***ches.

Glad to see you are ok, though, you gotta be proud the Mini did it's job quite well protecting you.

It looks like it tried to transform (sorry transformers fix lately)

That's awful!

I agree with checking out the local shops. Personally, I would be on a mission to find that person. I would write up a sort of "wanted" poster with the info on your car and the best description you could give of what hit you and hand distribute them to every single body shop in town and post them up on every stop sign within miles. If he/she was on that road late at night, it's a pretty good chance they live near there. I would go all out to find them and be sure they got what they deserved. You could have easily been hurt and left there for who knows how long. I'd probably even call the local news.

If this person did it to you, they may do it again. If they were drunk, they need to be off the road.

I am SO glad you are okay.

Looking at those pics my stomach just dropped as well.
I can't believe that there are people out there that wouldn't stop after causing something so drastic. I wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing that I had driven someone and their mini off the road and Especially caused then to spin out AND flip!

No one should go through anything like that!

Anyway, I fully agree get to the local body shops before the Hit and Runner gets his car fixed.
Bring pictures and a description the best you can of his car.
He is most likey going to have some of your paint on his car.
So keep your eyes peeled, he's probably near by since most accidents happen close to home.

It's painful to see a mini so badly crippled but most important of all is that your O.K.

Looking through body shops is an excellent idea. Being 1:30am, he might have been returning home from the bar. You could make up posters and distribute to body shops, bars, convenience stores, etc., in the area. Somewhere, somebody knows something. You just have to let it be known that you are looking, sooner or later he will turn up. Looks like a country/secondary road. More than likely a local?
Makes you crazy when people do things like this, and really makes you wonder if some people have any morals or scruples about them. How could you run away after causing another so much injury????
