I'm merely 6'0" and find the car quite comfy, except for the footwell, where my size 13-14 snowshoe-width feet sometimes play hell with the pedals if I wear bulky shoes or boots.

I was talking about the 3 Series in my post ... my 03 MC is fine really.

I see you have an 03 as well ... not sure if you tried the 07's yet, but the tapered center console in it did not feel any more or less spacious to me. It's tapered towards the bottom .... which is not where my knee is

But it does allow for more space for shorties that can actually stratch their legs

Still waiting.

Red lights, I use the corner lights, on the newer intersections. Otherwise it's duck over to look.

i'm just over 6'2" and i'm totally comfortable in my r53...as long as nobody's sitting behind me. if someone's sitting behind me i'm still fine, but the other person might not be very comfortable. given that, i think the car's still a pretty good package space-wise

I have sat in the '07s, and I hate to have to say that I find them a LOT more comfortable. The center console felt a bit roomier to me (well, my right leg), but the biggest difference is that with the telescoping wheel I can move the seat back further and my knees aren't jammed up against the dash (or the top of the console). I like my seat back reclined a bit more than a lot of folks, so to keep from driving "straight arm", I need the seat more forward than would be optimal.

Anyone over 6'0" will leave NO room for the rear seat passanger, driver side.

I am 6'2" and have no problem fitting. We will even use the MINI to go out to dinner with the whole family (me 6'2", wife 5'9", daughter 6'0", son 5'10"). Granted I would not want to drive 100 miles like that but it will work in a pinch.

Sometimes it takes awhile to arrive at a comfortable seating position the first time, but give it a chance and fiddle with all of the adjustments, I'm sure you'll be able to find comfort.

Go to www.lightinsight.com and your sore neck will go away. Best mod I made to my MINIs. First mod to my MINIs.

I"m 6'3" 215lbs, I don't even have my seat all the way back, but it did have a problem with the seat width, the side bolster bars on seat base stuck into my thighs, so I took the seat apart, removed the metal bolster and is now much more comfortable. I was expecting the seat to lose it's shape etc but 6 months later still looks the same as the untouched passenger side. A friend of mine is 6"8" 300lbs ( rugby player) and he always comments on how comfortable he is in the Mini! But I've got to say not that it's hard but it's quite a spectacle watching someone that large emerge from a small car, people walking on the streets certainly raise their eyebrows when he climbs out ........... making the Mini even cooler IMO

Aside from being 6'7", I'm also 280 pounds. The seats could be a bit more comfy, maybe a little longer in the seat, or better lumbar adjustment, but that will have to wait for some Recaro's someday.

I believe that members of the NBA, which happens to have tall people, and drive MINI's include Nowitzki and Shaq...any confirmations of this?

I am 6'3" tall and I LOVE the way I fit in the MINI. Mom's 540i has lass room and is more of a PITA to get into and out of.

Sure, there is NO room behind the passenger as the back of my seat is pushing back the rear seat cushion, but that is fine with me. I don't like any rear seat passengers back there behind the pass side because then they sit more forward and I can't see around them as easy.

really? your knees are jammed against the console now? ... mine are not even close. I have to take some pics I guess

but then again, maybe you have longer legs than I do ...

5-footers represent! 5' 7" and the fit is good. I can fit three more of my height easily. I've had 6 foot or near-6 foot co-workers in my car for lunch trips easily. Wouldn't want to subject people of that height to a longer trip than that, though (if there's more than one of them).

5'6" but had my buddy who is 6'2 in the car..and he said he was surprise how much room there was. Of course assuming you dont need to put someone in the back seat. But with my height..piece of cake!

I have the same issue if I am wearing my safety shoes from work, and I only wear a size 9-10. I'm almost hitting the brake pedal when my foot is working the throttle. I would almost say it's perfect for heel-toe maneuvers but with these shoes you can't feel a damned thing.

(I want to be able to mod her car and get some driving time of my own in it )

If you could post up your height, then tell us a brief account on how well you feel you fit in your Mini, and how comfortable you are in it, that would be perfect! Thanks.

PS.. there isn't any way to setup an easy poll for voting your height? Dang..
I'm 6' 3". No problem. I first drove a co-worker's MC to see if it was even feasible for me. Once I did that I was sold! Always liked them, but never thought I could get in one. I bought my wife an '07 MC, and I'm waiting on my MCS to finish making the trip across the Atlantic. Forget about the back seat when you're driving (at our height) though. I drive a Lincoln Navigator (which I'm replacing with my MCS) and it's the only car besides my Expedition before it, that a passenger was really comfortable behind me and I could be comfortable at the same time. My height is evenly distributed, so I have 35/36 inseam. I like to stretch out. You should go test drive one. That's the only way you'll be truly convinced. You won't need to mod her car. In fact, you may want to pick up your own!

Holy merde. I just read through this thread and the majority of people (both men and women) posting are over 6' tall. I'm somewhere between 5'8" and 5'9" depending on how straight I stand. Having just bought a Mini and never gone to any Mini events, I'm afraid to go now for fear of being a midget amongst giants. Time to find some platform shoes for men

Hum, I tower over the landscape at a huge 5'6". People can actually sit in the seat behind me. Short people handle better, we have a lower CG.

MINI peeps...living proof that because we're so well-endowed (height-wise), we don't feel the need to compensate for anything in our vehicles.
