Junior has a black eye...

We caught a chunk of tire tread in the left foglight (couldn't *quite* get out of the way...), and need to have some touch-up paint and repairs to the bumper and trim, plus a replacement light.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I tried holding a raw steak over the bruise, but it doesn't seem to be helping...

Magnum in Marietta
Aww... sorry to hear about Junior... surely the steak kept the swelling down... at least.

Magnum is AtlantaMINIs sponsor (http://www.atlantaminis.net) and they recommend him for all MINI body work. I think they also have an office at Global.

We took my MINI there for a small paint chip and they were extremely honest and told us we could buy the touch up paint and they'd fix it for us for free, but the way to get the best results would be to repaint my entire hood.

They're located in Marietta... http://www.magnumcollision.com/

Many thanks!
That's a good recommendation...

I just sent them an e-mail to set up an appointment.

I'll let everyone here know how it goes.

Junior thanks you as well - he's getting a bit tired of driving half-blind...!

I just had our front bumper replaced by the folks at Magnum, I'd recommend them. They were very accommodating to my idea of painting it beforehand so I could just drop the car off and wait for them to replace it.. It only took them about an hour and a half, they washed it and I was on my way. Best experience I've ever had with a body shop. When you're there, look at the other cars they are working on, it will be a real eye-opener.

No metallic, it's Chili Red and is an easy color to match. It looks fine.

Hey, Otto and I were just at their office at Global today! We took a real estate agent sign to the hood on our way up to Cartersville on Saturday that put some pretty decent dents and scratches on Otto. We were driving behind the real estate agent's pick-up truck and the sign blew out of the uncovered bed. She was nice enough about it once we got her to pull over, we'll see what she thinks about the price tag to get it fixed.

In the past I've taken our Jeeps to Atlanta Road Body Shop, which oddly enough is located on Atlanta Road in Smryna (just north of Windy Hill). I've never seen a MINI in there but they do all sorts of other cars, including the police cruisers for Cobb County Police and a couple of high end imports I've seen on their lot. They did a fantastic job on our old Wrangler (which is no longer part of our family, sadly), but I'm not sure I'd take the MINI there since I don't know of them fixing one. I worry about them matching the paint just right (possibly unfounded, don't know). They are almost certainly less expensive than Magnum, but you might be getting what you pay for. *shrug*

Magnum Report
I wanted to do a follow-up - Magnum took fantastic care of Junior, and I'd recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.

I posted a full review in the General Mini Forum... https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=109915
