Naa.. it's so we can invade Canada easier... that's why the Canadian MINIs don't have MPH... you know, global conspiracy and all

Another MC owner hitting just under 120 mph.
Don't know exact speed but the speedo needle didn't quite reach the 120 mph hash mark.....plus, I was running out of runway on this tiny Island (Hawaii)

Of course, this was done on a closed course racetrack at a secret location and no animals were hurt during this "safety run"

All I know it 120 and higher is fast. I would love to do what Frank did and have about 30 minutes at that high speed. Had to be a rush

>>Here is a pic from my GPS unit showing a verified max speed of 117mph. At that time, my MINI's speedometer was reading about 125. Does that count? <<

Interesting. Seems like by the time you get up into the 120s, the accuracy of the speedo is off by quite a bit (~8 mph). I remember reading that it was off by a few mph by 40 mph, and 5 mph or so by 75-80 So, all of these top speeds are probably overestimated a bit. Can you push the car (according to the speedo) above the 125/136 regulated speeds? Just curious, as I've only done 110 so far (Mass. Pike).
