it has happened to me very infrequently (maybe 5-6 times in the last year) and has been totally unreproducable.

welcome to MCO ASenna!
There have been a few posts about this.

I've had the no-dip problem a few times, usually after taking my car through a wash. I reset the window in the prescribed manner:
open windows completely with doors shut. Then wind window up completely and hold up button in up position for 10 seconds. That resets the dipping function. Lately I have not had the problem any more.

Cheers,
Markus

yes i have had this problem when i got my windows tinted

they left the windows in the "up" position, so that they could tint all of it. they forgot to turn it off after they were done.

i followed markus' advice before.....since he is a smart guy (old celeste joke

It happens once and a while on my MINI also, passenger side only. I just lower the windows a bit so they can clear, put them back up, and it won't happen again for another few weeks...

I have a similar, albeit different situation. A couple of times I get back into my car and find that the windows (or window depending on how many doors have opened and shut) are down slightly--about a 1/4 of a inch.
Tried the reset suggestion yesterday. Will see what happens.

Hhhhmmm, sounds familiar - maybe.
When I first got my car, I was not too familiar with the remote cntrl.
So, I pressed the open/unlock/disarm button repeatdly and maybe a little too long - and the windows opened a bit and so did the sunroof.
I though - wait - did I leave them open? Did they open on their own while I was gone? Is this a problem?
Turns out, I have the comfort opening feature: when HOLDING the open button on remote, windows will roll down and sunroof will open to let out hot air. I just pressed the button a wee bit too long.
So, if you have comfort opening, maybe this is what is happening to you?

I had a problem with the whole automatic window mechanism. the darn thing wouldn't work at all like opening and closing. The reset as prescribed in the manual didn't work either. The strangest part is it'll malfunction randomly, and for some reason the next day the auto windows and the dip would be working again. I took it to the dealer and of course the darn window worked flawlessly so he couldn't figure it out. Luckily a few hours in Target after the service department checked it out, the windows wouldn't dip or work period. After the service advisor saw the problem he replaced the window regulator. The windows work somewhat flawlessly now. Sometimes the windows don't dip, but the reseting prescription in the manual corrects it all the time. Long Beach Mini Service department was great btw. they squeezed me in when i came back and got it fixed in about an hour or so, however my doors don't unlock when I I open the inside handle....no biggy, the doors unlock when I turn the ignition off anyway, and another quick trip to the service department should fix it.
