2nd Annual Three Rivers Liver Walk
2nd Annual Three Rivers Liver Walk
This May 22nd our family will be participating in the 2nd Annual Three Rivers Liver Walk benefiting the American Liver Foundation, Western PA Chapter. We have formed a team this year - The Todd Squad. (Todd is our 18 year old son diagnosed with PSC, a life-threatening liver disease, for which there is currently no cure. Todd was transplanted a little over year ago in December.)
I am raising money for this very important cause and I'm asking you to help by making a contribution! Please use the link in this email to donate online quickly & securely. You will receive email confirmation of your donation and I will be notified as soon as you make your donation. If you would prefer, you can send your donation directly to me at: P.O. Box 1353, Wexford, PA15090 and make the check payable to the American Liver Foundation. I thank you in advance for your support, and really appreciate your generosity!

Also, we would be delighted if a bunch of MINI owners showed up to the walk (yes, you will have to get out of your MINI to do the walk!)Here is the link if you would like to register

Please note that this is not a sanctioned PittStop MINI Club event but a grassroots thing. The club is not managing this event, and the sign up is direct with the ALF (American Liver Foundation)
And for those of you that have been following our boys progress, here's a quick update on both Todd (liver recipient) and his brother Scott (Scott donated 1/2 of his liver to his brother as a living liver donor): Todd finished his freshman year at Valencia in Orlando FL and is living his new life to the fullest.
Scott is now a senior at University of CentralFlorida in Orlando. He is doing a marketing internship at the Center for Liver Diseases in Pittsburgh this summer. It is great to have them both home for the summer.
Thanks to all of you for contributing and/or coming out for this great charity event
Best, SteveGrieme
