hey guys, i just bought my new 08MCS from Ottos a few weeks ago and the bug has bit me to go cruising wth some fellow mini owners. Anyone organizing a drive in the near future?

Dont you have to pay fto be a member of miniphilly? I think thats kinda dumb but oh well I need people to cruise with also Im from north east philly area.

I got mine done on south street I forget what the place is called but I can find out its just 2 guys and a garage the have done AIs cars before there pretty good and very fairly priced!

 

It does cost $30 annually, but some of the local dealers will give you 10% off parts, accessories/supplies, and service when you show your member card. Plus if you go to any PhillyMINI events that have a $5 fee, the fee is waived. So the annual "cost" easily pays for itself

Besides, the fee is put to good use; it costs money for the events to be put together, and from what I hear, PhillyMINI is one of the best run, best-organized MINI-event groups there are.

 

my brother was a member of Philly Mini before he moved down to Atlanta. I am not a member, I don't see how it makes sense to pay to be in a club, so that I can to drive to an event and pay to do whatever we do there haha. Maybe it's because i'm English and from Yorkshire so money does not easily flow out of my wallet.

 

I am in Doylestown and have been searching for a shop that tints windows and have found nothing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

how much and whats the warranty? I found a closer one near me on Bustleton Ave in Philly...Car Pretty is the company. Llumar tint, lifetime warranty, 170 installed.

A guy just down the street wanted 180 and one year warranty. I don't know what brand film he was using.

Both used computer controlled cutting if that matters. I think I'm going with Car Pretty as the guy seemed like he hustled and didn't seem like a hustler.

 

$180 and I am very happy. I am actually writing this from there waiting room (free wifi) as I have my other car tinted.
