PDX MINI "PORT TO PORT" Tour: 04/15/07 - 04/16/07
PDX MINI PRESENTS:
THE PORT TO PORT TOUR
April 14th and 15th 2007

Let’s motor away together for a fun-filled weekend of touring from Portland, Oregon to Westport, Washington. Our Washington members would like the Orygunians to see that their state has hidden beauty and that they also have that Specific Ocean. This tour will include a relaxing brunch meet-up, easy winding back roads, sightseeing and evening socializing. April’s the perfect time to visit a beach resort before those pesky, door-dinging tourists start clogging the roadways and quaint little towns.
The town of Westport is quite unique with an active fishing fleet harbored in the downtown area along with interesting shops and restaurants. Spend the afternoon enjoying the Antique stores, an aquarium, the Maritime Museum. Grays Harbour Lighthouse or take a walk on the beach for a fun Spring weekend getaway. Visit their website for a full list of features and nearby events at www.westportwa.com
Lodging: Please make your own reservations for the night of Saturday April 14th. We will be staying in Grayland, Washington (6 miles from Westport). Since this is your weekend getaway, please select the lodging that appeals to you. Call the properties, talk to the contact persons; they are all accommodating and very pleased to host our PDX MINI club. All accommodations are within blocks of each other, socializing will consist of shouting at one another, except for those in the Fantasy Cabins — we’ll leave them alone. Browse the local lodging - Google: ’lodging grayland washington’
After registration we will all migrate into the restaurant for brunch. Price range ($6-10). Drivers meeting will be after we’ve fed our faces.
From I-5, get onto I-405/US-30 towards St. Helens.
Follow the signs to St. Helens which will start out as Yeon St and turn into St. Helens Rd. Stay on the road and it turns into Lower Columbia River Highway. The restaurant will be on the west side of the road (non-river side).
Sunday Morning Meet-up: April 15th 9:30 AM (location TBD) for the return route home through more beauty in the Western Washington area.
RSVP: port-to-port-rsvp@pdxmini.org Deadline is Saturday March 31st. Entry fee is $5.00 for members, $15.00 for non-members. When you
RSVP we need the following information:
Questions? Contact Dan & Sara at events-social@pdxmini.org, or PM minibeel.
For those of you with the light right foots, this will be a comfortable, soothing experience. Grab it while you can!

A few of us just completed the pre-run for this tour, and if the weather holds, it should be a great run, complete with a Pacific Ocean front stop, and a long drive along the water (...both the Ocean, and the mighty Columbia River).
