Is there any more info on this run? It's coming up soon and I plan on attending if it's still on. Thanks in advanced.

Yes yes, details will be announced later today. Bruce and I are finalizing the meeting spot and time. But the run is definitely on for Sunday the 31st. We do understand that this is the weekend of the British Field Meet, but heck, we already pushed off this run once and I wanna go!!

Another covered bridge tour!!! I love it!!!

Maybe you guys could talk to jimmer0. He just attended the Pa. Bridge Tour and lives in Oregon. We awarded him the "furthest distance travelled" prize. He's a seasoned Bridge router now.

Have a fabulous meet.

Cheers,
Kim

Although I won't be able to attend, I'd like to get a copy of the route as I might be in the area at some point in the relatively near future. Thanks,

Covered Bridge Run
Sunday August 31st 10am
Run Organizer: Bruce Q (Nuvolari)

Hello everyone! Hope to see you all for a casual day of motoring the
backroads of Mt. Angel, Stayton and Scio. We will be meeting in Woodburn
at Plush Pippin restaurant at 10am. The run will last roughly 4 hours and
we will have a couple stops along the way for bathroom breaks and snacks.
For the adventurous crowd, there is an additional set of directions that
will be given at the beginning of the run which contains a route around
the Eugene area for even more covered bridge crossings! We really hope to
see some of our Salem friends join us on this run.

>From Portland:
Take I-5 South to Woodburn (Exit 271)
Go Left at offramp and Plush Pippin will be on your Right.

>From Salem:
Take I-5 North to Woodburn (Exit 271)
Go Right at offramp and Plush Pippin will be on your Right.

Plush Pippin
2994 Newberg Hwy
Woodburn, OR 97071-2819

Motor On!

R

SWEET...I can get in another Covered Bridge Run in the same month! Heck, since I live 160 miles from Portland I could almost get a second "furthest distance travelled" award!

The covered bridge run in PA kicked some serious butt!! It won't be the same since I won't be bending corners and warping eyeballs riding shotgun in GMINIO's MCS. I'll have to do the mindwarp on my own this time!

August 31st...it's on my calendar!!

Hey Harmini...since I made it to your covered bridge run I think you should come to our's!!

You're a glutton for punishment. Won't Hwy 20 coming over from Bend still be closed due to wildfires? I am sending you a pm.

My wife Nancy and I will be there. We might also do the long version. We'll see how it goes Sunday. Here's hoping we have a good sized group.

My Fiancee and I will be there. I was hoping that there would be some activity on this topic soon, as the run is coming up this weekend!

Well, I am really a gluton for punishment. I'd say it's at least a 90% chance that I'll motor over on Willamette Pass and motor back over MacKenzie Pass to make it to the meet. The more motoring the better!

Hopefully I'll meet all of you PDX'ers (and others) on Sunday!

Well, as long as my car doesn't sell between now and then, I'll be there with my MINI. Otherwise I'll be there in one of my other cars. As some of you may know, I purchased a 1999 M Roadster, which is being shipped from the east coast presently. My MINI is in the Oregonian and Autotrader, and with all the car shoppers out on Labor Day weekend, you never know. It could go tonight for all I know. Ha. But I'll definitely be there in a car of some kind.

I'll be checking the forum tomorrow to see how much fun it was. Sorry I had to miss it.
I did the Forest Grove run the first year with PDXMINI and it was cool. It's fun to see that many MINIs running around rural roads.
Maybe I can catch the next one. Any plans for a real time/distance rally?

Well, the run would have gone off pretty much without a hitch if some dork hadn't have directed people to go "7.2 miles to Larwood Rd. and turn left," when the actual distance was 2.7 miles. Hilarity ensued.

I agree the run went pretty well all things considered, we had a great turn out, around 20 cars I believe. Some of us got separated here and there. There are bound to always be a few snaffus (typos included) on these runs but the true beauty and fun I thought more than made up for it! One can appreciate what amount and effort goes into a run after you have organized one yourself. Any volunteers for the next one?! Thanks to Bruce, Jeanine, **** & Becky for your assist in this one! Anyone have pics to post yet?

Sorry I couldn't make it. I was planning to, but something else came up. I hope everybody had a great time! I'll catch the next covered bridge tour!

What a fun run! It was great to be able to finally get out and cruise around with some other MINI owners.

I've got some pictures still sitting on my DIGIcam, hopefully I will have a chance to post them tonight.
