Looking to Order Mini S

So I am looking to order a Mini Cooper S in the next couple of weeks and was wondering if any has had any luck with getting Rasmussen to go under the MSRP? They seem to have the best reputation of the dealers between Portland and Seattle, but would sure like to get the price down a little.

Don't know about Discounting, but yes, they are a GREAT Dealer to deal with, if the $$ is not to your liking you can always ask. Ann, and Larry are Top Notch MA's!!

The Mini Dealer in Tacoma Washignton is one of the few dealers on the West coast that honors the Costco car discount program. You may want to check it out. When I mentioned the dealer in Tacoma was part of the Costco program to the dealer in Utah (a bit closer for me), they said they would honor any Costco discounts from any other Mini dealer.

That's when odered my 2011 MCS on the spot! (with the discount).

Rasmussen is a Costco dealer as well. After you purchase your car here I can be your Service Advisor

I am interested to see what they are giving for discount under the Costco auto buying program in your area. Since I work for Costco, I went into a local MINI dealer who is part of the Costco auto buying program to order my Clubman S. They told me the Costco discount was $250. I replied, "$250 is not going to do it." I made an offer of $1,000 off the out-the-door price and they accepted my offer.

Good luck with your order.

I will qualify my responce first by noting that I bought in 2007, and I understand things have likely changed a bit since then (A-prices have gone up, B-Economy is underwater, C-MINI wasn't doing Costco cars back then).

When I bought, it was my experience that dealers wouldn't flex much on bone-stock cars (arrive as ordered from the factory).

Where they WOULD wheel and deal was on aftermarket accessories added after delivery, in-house. They had a LOT of leaway with that stuff (including, at the time, the dealer JCW kit).

Just what I remember.

I agree with MSH441 - all of my extra accessories were installed for free and were on the car when I picked it up... A nice little touch to take the sting out of the price of the vehicle.
