Anyone have/had a Volvo C70 convt?
A freind of mine is looking at one of these and it is quite attractive. I have owned several Volvo's so I can tell him about the engine/trans, etc but I think I remember something about the C70's having some quality issues due to there low production numbers and that they were virtually hand made.
The '07 C70 is an all-new car based on Ford's latest global small car platform (Volvo S40, Mazda3, Euro Ford Focus, etc).
I looked into buying one of the new ones in the form of the S40 T5 sedan, ans thought it was pretty impressive. Drove nice too.
I know very little about the older ones, though.

He's looking at an 03 and 04 C70-the older style. I been checking some specs-these are acutally heavier than the wagons so I guess it's a great cruiser but not a "sports" car. It's a 4 seat convertable so it's best for top down cruising anyway.
I've driven them, no more than 20 minutes to half hour, and have worked on them before. Their really no more different than an S60 or anything like that of the same generation as far as reliabilty goes. The only complaint I ever heard was about wind noise under speed. Gee, wonder why...
