Drought induced car washing restriction.

Florida is experiencing a drought, as well as Arizona and the Southwest in general. You can only wash your car:
Starting March 22, lawn watering and car washing will be limited to three days a week from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m.
Yikes!

UGH, they are predicting water shortages in Alabama this summer too.

Well I say party all night, then at around 4, crank all your floodlights on the Mini, & wash away all-the-while singing 99 bottles of beer on the wall Your neighbors will love you

Car washing isn't allowed here in Santa Fe. You must use a car wash. I suppose they must have a requirement to recycle water. The city let most of the grass in parks die and have installed several aritificial soccer fields. They have acknowledged that this is a dry place.

That said, rest assured, I'll continue to participate in NAM from jail.

Sounds like all you need is a floor drain & water spout in your garage. Closey the garage door & wash away

You can't let the water run out past the garage door because the fuzz may come by & catch you. But w/a slight slope to a central drain you are good to go

If the fuzz comes...just step outside of the garage, (best if you can do this by entering the house and coming out from the front door of the house) and explain that you had to urinate very bad and your SO was in the shower, and your currently remodleing the other bathroom.

Seems doable...time to step up and embrace the new challenge. I'd bet having a sparkly clean MINI will stand out even more among all the dirty cars of the less intrepid.

LEO: Sir, if I may ask, how is your vehicle so clean, amongst all these other dirty vehicles?
You: Well Officer, since we can't use city water to wash our cars, I decided to use bottled water. Do you realize this car wash costed me almost $70 , I tried to use off-brand water, but my MINI rejected it, and demanded Evian .

So you're out washing your car between 0400 and 0800, and the cops get you for disturbing the peace. Well thought out, that.

We get this every year with a hose pipe ban. Some companies even tried to market waterless car cleaning products but due to paintowrk damage these have now been withdrawn.

Excuse me... hose pipe ban? Some call them hose bibbs, faucet, or out in the yard a hydrant. So if you leave a hose out in the front yard then what...?

Being here in Florida, I’ll just have to wait for the right time to do it because no one is going to stop me from washing my MINI once a year whether it needs it or not!

Living in the UK 7 years through most of the late 90's and I get the hose pipe ban, but many here don't have a clue what you're talking about.
