here is some stuff my buddy found about the MT vs DSG on GTi's.... you decide
about the way they advertised this technology.

TRANSMISSION GEAR RATIOS:
Manual / DSG
1: 3.36 / 3.46
2: 2.09 / 2.15
3: 1.47 / 1.46
4: 1.10 / 1.08
5: 1.11 / 1.09
6: 0.93 / 0.92
R: 3.99 / 3.99
Final Gear Ratio (Gears 1-4)
3.94 / 4.06
Final Gear Ratio (Gears 5 & 6)
3.09 / 3.14

Its funny how a new VW can't survive a hella hot fire but a McDonald's cup can.
