Drove an FJ Cruiser
People, Be careful. I have a friend who upside down on his loan for an X-Terra. The depreciation on these things and the supercharger's thirst for premium juice is "nasty." I love the FJ. But the Automatic is EPA rated higher than the 6-spd...Go figure... Now if someone would just make a set of disconnect hubs for the front diff...count me in!
I was updating my signature and remembered this old thread.
Sooooo did anyone end up with an FJ Cruiser?? I did and I've been absolutely thrilled with it. I know I made the right decision going with the FJ over the Xterra.
Any other MINI/FJ owners out there?

It's weird this thread poped back up- I was seriously thinking about an FJ when I started my new car hunt over a year ago. With the price of gas I ruled it out-plus where I live does not have off road trails so I wouldn't be able to really use it. I was a little disapointed at the interior as it's a pretty big SUV but the interior isn't. They are unique which is rare these days but in the end the MCS won out-big.
i think it's too much of a fad and carricature, form over function 'n stuff. and it looks HUGE. i'd get a tacoma crewcab over the fj in a heart beat, or any of the old land cruisers. the fj80's are supersweet and bulletproof and can be had for pretty cheap now
