I saw the Hertz at the Phoenix rental agency. Pretty nice and handsome car. Geeze they wanted $155 for the day plus $.37 per mile after 756 miles. Pretty pricey. Anyways here is a few pics of my real 1968 Shelby GT 500. Just finishing restoration on it. Had to make a few mods, but otherwise pretty stock. The 428 CJ is a monster of a motor though.

Things wrong with the GT 500.

1. Iron engine block (the GT is aluminum)
2. No side scoops like on the 67 cobra
3. Removed fogs from the center put on bumper like every other car
4. Where is the agressive hood scoop? It's got plastic vents on the site.
5. Doesn't look like Shelby designed it

Cool things about GT 500

1. 500 HP!!!

As soon as there is a California smog legal supercharger for the '05 Mustang GT i'll be at 500 hp too.
