1 Miata totaled in the above action.
2 bikers went down, one suffered a broken arm the other broken ribs and punctured lung. There may have been a 3rd.
Plus some local throwing bottles of oil onto the dragon, around some pretty dangerous corners. The biker that broke his arm hit one of the oil spots.

The actual answer to your question is NO.
I’ve been to every Dragon event since the first one in 2003. I also go there at least 2 other times during the year. Accidents happen and it is a road you must pay attention to what you are doing when driving it.
The Miata last year was not with the MINIs, and was not even going the same direction the MINIs were going. It was just some idiot who crashed while we were on the road.
The one out of Detroit had a truck in front of them drop something off the back and he had no place to go if I remember right and the one on the TSD and a massive suspension failure from what I was told.
As for the bikes, don’t give them a second thought unless they cross the line coming towards you and it happens.
You get 300/400 MINIs together for four days and I can guarantee there will be at least one or two people have some kind of problem.
Go, have fun, but take it easy until you see what the roads are truly like because they are not what you are use to driving.

I was told by a local a few weeks after last year’s event that the person will not be doing that again. I was at the Dragon twice last year after the oil dropping thing in May and never saw one drop.

Actually the car on the TSD hit a storm drain and lost control, then hit a big rock.
