Ugliest car

Merc / Daimler Crysler - Smart
It seems likely that the name 'smart' represents the 'smarting' sensation one feels after paying good money for one of these plastic novelties. The car shown has suffered a 65km/h head-on crash, which initially seems rather good, but what the manufacturer failed to mention was that it was a 65km/h crash into a swimming pool full of marshmallows.

Citroen DS
Known to strange individuals as "The Goddess." Obviously this was the Goddess of people with vision defects. For some bizarre reason many people seem to think that this car is a design classic. I think not. It's as attractive as a slug-filled croissant.
Everyone seems to agree that Citroen makes the ugliest cars around (half the pics are of citroens), but does anyone think the Xsara (esp the WRC version) has great sex appeal?
Who wudda thunk?

Oh, and my ugly car of the moment.

I hate Echos!!! How much did they spend on design, somebody's change from beneath their seat cushions? They could have paid me half what they spend and I could have drawn up something twice as good.

>>They refer to this as the "tailgate cabana" on their website.

This is a very dangerous thread.
Dave in Denver did just add quite a bit of fuel to the mix however; bashing parent company BMW is a no-no. Dave: did you know that Chris Bangle is the MANAGER for the styling department, he has very little creative input, Bangle is not the enemy for your dissatisfaction and/or misinterpretation of BMW's new styling themes! It's really not fair to prejudge styling until they've undergone the "test of time". The 2002 is still classically beautiful, as is the 3.0csi.
Cheers,
Ryan
