The Semi Thread
The Semi Thread
well, i'm not too sure if there are other of us out there, but there are a select few people that find big semi's rather intriguing. I love my semis. one reason i had to have a CB in my MINI.
So, if you liek the big trucks of the road, post some pics!
One of my favorites, the semi from The Duel

It was a 1960 Peterbuilt

i always thought the early to mid 60's pertebuilts and Macks were pretty sinister looking.....

Ahh yes, big rigs. I have a thing for them too. Although no pics to share. A long hauler was what I wanted to be, of course before college, and before mechanics school, and before the Military.
I still have a thing for them. Yrs ago a buddy of mine got fired from JBHunt for mowing over the front of a car in a cabover in the city. I can gey my CDL, all I have to do is show my Government license and take a short test for Haz cargo. I plan to do ti one of these days.
In my daily driver I have a tone of ham and CB equipment. I started on CB when I was about 11 or 12. Which eventually led me into ham radio. I still get on the CB every once in a while and tear it up!
Keep the pics coming! I like interior shots the best!
Good thread, hope it gets more interest!

perhaps an old-skool one:
come down to Australia and drive anywhere in the Northern Territory, outback Queensland or South Australia, and you're likely to see these "road trains"...
Go up to the NT and you can tangle with these beasts on roads with no speed limits.....
(nevermind the kangaroos, cattle, sheep and buffalo that have a habit of finding their way onto the road when you're doing 100mph!
