I think it should be more about straight-up races instead of this whiney negotiations thing that they have going on. It kinda ruins the whole racing atmosphere to sit at the strip and negotiate stuff. Sure it's big stakes by winning the other guys car, or possibly losing your own, but still. If you're gonna whine, then you're not totally ready to lose it and shouldn't be stepping up to the plate.
A better example of true racemanship on the show, is like the last one I saw with the 2 motorcycles. They raced straight-up without any negotiations until the last part where the HD guy got a little worried. Won't ruin it all for those who haven't seen it. But they were on the right track. Just getting to it without debating it. I think it could be a start to a cool show.
