I sympathize with the guy. I hate it when my windshield gets chipped and those pesky Porsches slow me down too.

Soooo, when is NAM gonna put together a "MINIs At The 'Ring" weekend?

I would guess around 210, + or - 10 mph.

Are you refering to the scream of the engine and the shifting of the gears?
That's not music. That is pure ambrosia!

More like 175 +/-. The M3 GTR is powerful - but not enough to pull 200+ on the straights at the 'Ring.

Did I see a black MCS on there? I think it was around 4:30, I'm going to double check it.

Man, how many times have WE had that feeling - you're having a great lap and all of a sudden you get stuck behind one of those Porsche 993 racecars and they slow you down forEVER!

Musta been an American tourist from Florida

Not to take anything away from Hans (compared to my pithy ability) but a buddy told me he's two minutes off the track record. Jeesh, looking at his silky shifts and line, etc., I'm in awe -- can't imagine a video of the track record!

If I recall that run actually set the record. Notice Hans ran the entire 'Ring and the track section. That's over 17 miles. The record for the 14 mile run is 7 minutes and change. That's over 120mph/avg

Regardless - Hans holds many records at the 'Ring and elsewhere.

Yeah, that sounds more realistic. I have to admit that was the most intense 4 wheel thing I've ever seen! Still not as intense as 2 wheels, but close:

That is from the 2002 season, they hit 190mph in those days. Since the new 4 strokes were introduced in 2003, they're hitting 205+ on some venues... 325 lb bikes with 240 horsepower. Try that for intense.
