Cts-v

Just got back from test driving a CADILLAC CTS-V. What a car! This thing is a friggin' four door Corvette. It has the 'vette 400 hp 5.7 ltr. aluminum engine and the 6-speed tranny. I was greatly impressed (not easily achieved, especially from a GM product). Most similar to an Audi S4 or BMW M5. This is definately not your grandfather's Caddy.

How can this thing impress me? I generally despise GM products. Hmm, somebody did their homework. A+ on the fun factor.

For one thing, Caddy did their suspension tuning & testing at the Nurburgring.....and IMHO, they did a great job with that front grille work.

that car is scary fast. i've got a friend who's dad is a level 8 in GM Special Powertrain. he brings out all sorts of fun cars to show off and we saw and rode in that one a few months back. normally it's fun to harass sedans and SUV's as a whole, but i wouldn't go near one of those things. he'd chew up my car and spit it out as a yugo

I agree. I first drove the CTS with the sports suspension and was seriously impressed with the general chassis dynamics. Truly incredible for a car which you can easily get for around $28K out the door without even trying. Drove the CTS-V when it came in which basically addressed the only (barely) shortcoming of the base model with a horsepower boost.

Brilliant package and distinctive (love it or hate it) styling - if I needed more room, it would be on my short list. Right now, though, I'm still enjoying the MINI experience too much.
