What a Spitfire!
What a Spitfire!
This may be old news, but I just came across these photos the other day; I have such a crush on these cars it's not even funny:

This guy's done a spectacular resto job on this Mk IV (and seems to be a be pretty handy with a camera as well):

Enjoy!

I share your passion for Spitfires, and that one is SUCH a beauty! I do love the originals, as mine (a '74) was hampered by those bloody safety bumpers. I converted it to a dual carb setup and it was my first autocross car. I was reliably beaten by a 914 back in the day, but I still would not have traded car for car.
There's a gent who runs with us up in New England who has a GT - fully prepped for the track with all safety systems and cage. It is immaculate, and I adore it every time he drives to the line.
Cheers,
Charlie

Speaking of GT6s, this is the beauty that fueled my recent fall from the wagon, so to speak:

I just happened to see it on Saturday while on an excursion in the area of Rye, NH, and had to stop for a closer look.
It's in quite good shape but still needs some TLC. (Don't they all?)
There was another gent there who seemed quite intent in providing it with a good home, assuming his wife was amenable.
