It's here, that time of the year I celebrate more then Christmas...seriously. Although this year looks quite dull, I hope to see the Toyota's come out strong in the end, Oak/Morgan racing winning LMP2, and I could care less about GTE. Oh, and the Delta Wing....I hope it makes a big suprise by duking it out with the LMP2's

For anybody reading this because your stuck at work, pull out your ear plugs, log onto radiolemans.org, and listen to the race.

What's everybody's take on the event this year? I'm dissppointed Peugeot backed out, that really took a lot of wind out of my sails for this years event. The only team since 1999 that made Audi sweat ( Bentley doesn't count since they were under the same tent as Audi, just clothed as a coupe, and painted green.) It's a shame, but maybe by 2014 they'll make a come back with Porsche.

 

I've never bothered watching LeMans before, but on our vacation in May we drove a MINI (Cooper-D) around the 24 hour circuit (at least the bits which are public roads).

 

The delta wing is freaking me out. Such a crazy car. My buddy was pumped about this event for months as he always is and then his cable box died this morning. Sucks for him.

 

I just switched it on as background noise more than to actually watch it, but, WOW!
Some of those cars look like Star Wars on wheels.
I like watching the pit stops more than the actual race.
Those crews are amazing.

am i the only one who thinks of the radar scene in Austin powers when when trying to describe the deltawing? Shame its out too, wish it could have gone further!

lol. Shame my one hope of taking it to Audi had to take it out, I didn't even get to see it race before I got home, only the accident scene.

ON the note, I want to congrats Audi.....but at the same time thanks for making the race incredibly dull by bringing 4 of your cars, nice to know you could care less about making it an exciting race after Peugeot dropped out. 2014 couldn't get here any sooner.
