>>Bullitt! Its real, no digital/special FX's work done. The best!
I AGREE!!
Best chase scene ever but for laughts it has to be Used Cars. Used Cars was a box office flop but was a funny movie (I loved his dog).

"To Live and Die in L.A." has a great car chase through back streets, a trucking terminal and onto a L.A. freeway going the wrong way. The stunts were done by Buddy Joe Hooker, also the stars did a bit of driving themselves. Good flick!

Is that the one with a pre-Rocky, Sly Stalone and "points" for nailing pedestrians?
If so, I saw it back in the 70's as the second bill at the drive-in.
'Course the windshield had pretty well fogged up by the time Death Race 2000 came on.

Try Robert Mitchum in the 1958 classic Thunder Road.

This flick is a classic Bootleggers vs. Revenoorers vs. Mafia flick that is set on the same roads we enjoy when we run THE DRAGON. The plot of the movie is available online.
Mitchum also wrote the theme song which made it to the Hit Parade. The words can be read here and if you want to listen, here it is!

anyone ever seen "No Man's Land" ca. 1987 with Charlie Sheen and D.B. Sweeney? undercover cop (Sweeney) befriends Porsche-stealing rich boy (Sheen) and great chases and nice Porsches ensue. otherwise i love all 3 Cannonball Run Movies and "Ronin" was awesome. Great call on "Dazed & Confused" too.
>>that's it for kar flicks?????
>>i came here looking to get an idea of what flick to rent over the weekend & nothing
The Car, never flip off a chop top tinted window car from hell. The new Chrysler remind me of it.
Heres one, The Last Chase starring Lee Majors and Burgess meridith. A evil society outlaws cars and makes us ride mass transit, Lee Majors in a defiant act of freedom drives cross country to Free America with Burgess Meridth giving chas in an even hotter looking vehicle a flat black F86.
