The time has come For A new CAR! :^\***

Well guys im sad to say my MINI is soon going to be gone :[. My lease is finishing very soon and i need to find a new daily driver. I really dont want to part with MINI's but for now they are not in my budget. Im so confused on what to get. I want something fun to drive importantly.I have a few options for now.

I really love the 01-03 ACURA CL's
I found one it is an 03 with 57k on it it is just an cl not an s (auto)blk on blk ..... one owner clean carfax and everything .But i have heard that its very possible i will have tranny problems and that is 1 of the few thing i dont like about this car. (BTW whats the average price for changing a tranny if it happens???)

The second car i have found is a DODGE Avenger 08 auto se silver. With only 25 k on it . A few hundred buks of body work on . Its an ok car in my opinion just feels VERY! Cheap ! I will be getting a great deal on it and a warranty thats the good thing.

And my 3rd weak option is a FJ cruiser i also will be getting a really good deal but i hate the gas mileage . Its a koool car but idkkk...

Im so ...

I would really appreciate some help/input on this.

Thank You

Have you looked at used Mini's. There are some good deals out there. Don't know what your budget is, but only one car you mentioned has a warranty, and that's been wrecked. Just my opinion, I would look into a used Mini. Hope everything works out for ya.

I vote for a late '90s M3. No way should you get the Avenger. Had one as a rental to drive visiting family around San Francisco. It sucked. Big..floaty...no power..hard to park in a tightly packed city...weak brakes. Ugh.

THANK YOU !
I really needed that comment about the avenger! I was looking at riced up avengers on forums ......... i wouldn't imagine myself in that having fun.

As for the M3 option i had found a 98 with 100k well kept but, then i just cant afford all the maintenance and the problems it will possibly give me .

Do you have a budget that you're looking at plus other must haves like 2 or 4 seats? Some others fun cars I'd consider while on a budget would be an early 90's Miata or a fox body Mustang. They're both relatively cheap and lots of aftermarket parts to make 'em more fun. If your budget allows you could also consider the S2000, Mazdaspeed 3, Sti, R32 or an Evo, but I'm guessing you want something below 10k?

Well, how about acura rsx '02-'04? Uhh, 2006 honda fit, VW GTI all the way up to about '03, toyota celica any year, scion tC '05, scion xb 04-05, prelude, i'm guessing you consider mazda3s civics(01-05 2door) and corollas (S and XRS) to be too generic?
These are about within budget, i'd know and they don't look too bad. (all 4 cylinder great on gass

are you SURE you can't get another mini? lease? something?

out of the 3 cars you listed, i'd go for the fj cruiser. my bf just bought one and i love driving it... there are a lot of nice little mods you can do as well... trd short shifter makes all the difference.

acuras are good cars but i never liked the look of the cl... i had an integra and it did me well... but then i moved onto my mini.

Glad you didn't follow through with the lame-in-every-way CL. In my driving experience the e46 is the high point (leaving aside the incomparable E30) in the 3-series time line in terms of styling (exterior and interior), size, and driving feel. Excellent "practical cars" that can really hustle a back road and with wonderfully balanced RWD dynamics yet very good kilometre-eaters too. Enjoy it!
