Just a rant on car care

Feel free to ignore this as I'm only venting my frustrations. My poor Clubman is pretty dirty right now. I have to wash the windows so I can see out of them. I absolutely 100% can not find the time to sit down and give it a good, total cleaning because the wheels have so much brake dust on them that the first application of brake dust remover only got most of it off. Checking the weather, I felt even more depressed seeing the rest of the week: rain on Saturday and Sunday, the ONLY days I have to wash my car. I dunno, maybe I'll wash my car on Monday if I have a chance but that means I'll have to do it at 9pm (not that that's the first time I've done it). Sometimes, I wish it was possible to invent car wax that really prevents waterspots and mud from sticking to the paint instead of having to run over it again with something like Mequiar's Detailer. The curse of owning a car is no doubt trying to keep it clean. I know a guy at work who hasn't washed his car in over a month because of the crappy weather.

You can wash it in the rain, free rinse cycle.

We're having weird weather, too...constant chance of rain. Sometimes just cleaning my glass helps.

Either way, I can almost guarantee that I'll be the first one in my neighborhood at the car wash and the only one using a bucket, mitt, and all the rest of the proper supplies.

It's worse if you're MOCD. Perhaps you have already been diagnosed as such.

Yeah it's been raining a lot here too, but while I normally wash my MINI every week, no use it doing it now when I know it will rain again tomorrow. My Honda on the other hand hasn't been washed for about 6 months. Although all this rain is finally starting to wash off all that winter road salt.

I have been busy the last 2 fridays and then sat rolls around and I end up sleeping in and npt wanting to wash the care at 1 in the afternoon cause it is too damn hot. Maybe tomorrow I might just take it to the car wash center and pay the quarter machine and wash it that way lights are there for noght time washings.
