Hey, that's for the Honda crew.

You get what you pay for. He was quoted $250 to install an inferior body kit, and prep and paint it. I am surprised that the shop even used dry wall screws, and not crazy glue.

I feel so sorry for this guy whom obviously is a very decent person and didn't deserve to have this happen to him and his Z .....

I just picked up a full pre painted JCW Body kit for my mini, it goes in next week by a reputable body man/mechanic whom I have been patronizing for almost 30 years. He works on VW's, Benz, Jaguar, speicalized in BMW's and now MINI's as of this year. I have no worries with him. ( Actor Bill Cosby takes all his Jags and one Porsche to him )

A word of advice for the new younger drivers out there.

To find a good mechanic - ASK around & get references.

When you find a good mechanic and/or body man, stick with them like GLUE though thick and thin. Don't keep shopping around looking for bigger and better "deals". More often than not you are headed for disappointment.

A good body specialist could make it right by stripping down to metal, brazing up the lag screw holes, repainting and finishing. Mucho $$$ to make it right, though.

The JCW kits are plug & play if they're prepainted. Nothing to screw up unless you start cross-threading screws and bolts.
