Taking Home My B

I'm the original owner of the poor thing on the trailer. In time, a bumper to bumper restoration, and a few mods along the way.

"George" started life as a 1975 MGB. Sorry for the cell phone quality pic.

My wife, Becky is in the middle, flanked by two friends who helped.

That's nice man

I had one of those way way back.
I didn't realize you can still get parts.

Let us know when you finish, I'd like
to see how it comes out.

Long hours in the garage, tracking down parts, diagnosing problems... Sometimes the reward is worth it, and I hope that you find that it is. Best of luck to you!

If there's one car I restore almost blindfolded, it's an MGB. Moss Motors and Victoria British are prime sources for parts, and I have friends in the UK if needs be.

It won't be done quickly. More like a putting around kind of job as time and money permits.

You've stared down a long road, my friend, from one who's "been there, done that"........

My addiction is a '69 XK-E, 4 years and unknown amount of $$$$ later it's mostly done, but you're never really finished, there's always one more thing you'd like to buy or one more thing you wish you'd done better. Unless you go for a full on concours resto, which I did not have the budget for.

If you want to see what I did, go here.........http://www.cardomain.com/ride/505677

I have already restored a 1969 MGC and a 1968 MGC-GT. The B will be a cakewalk by comparison.

Noob, I am not.

I saw your post over on the MG Forum. Good luck with the car, take your time and walk away from the job for a while when you get frustrated. I have 3 MG-B's & a TR-6 currently and am the chairman of the NAMGBR national 2009 meet in Breckenridge, Colorado. I have a picture of my garage in my gallery.

Brought back memories of my '49 TC and the '52 TD. Which brought back memories of all the time I spent working on them and not driving them. Which brought back memories of driving them. What a hoot that was!
Thanks for the memory nudge Gromit. Have fun with your project.
