Volkswagen Jetta - Euro Light Switch

I have a question about a Jetta and rather than join a VW forum just for one question... I figured that I'd take my chances here first.

I have a 2004 Jetta GLI and it has the standard US light switch: OFF (with day-time running lights) and ON (head lights + parking lights). I've always wished it had a setting for just parking lights. From doing searches I discovered that you can buy a Euro version of the switch (from a variety of places online) that has that setting.

So, my question. Has anyone here done this and does the Euro switch plug right into the US version wiring harness?

I think I'm on the right track now. Looks like it should be plug-and-play so I'm going to order a euro switch and give it a shot. Maybe check into some fog lights, too.

Anyway, thanks for everything... especially windsorlove.
