The "I got bored" timeline of my car

i got kinda bored, so here is a little time line of my car and its transformation.

When i first got her home

She was so young

Along with the cracked windshield, misfire, bad alternator, and broken exhaust, the visual reason for me getting the car for $1000

She "backed into a truck going 6 MPH"
First things first, had to replace that exhaust. This is how it sounded when i got it home.

Purchased a TechTonics Tuning 2.25" with a Dynomax muffler and it now sounded like this

Next came dent repair. The scoop got sprayed while it was in the shop

The original plan for the wheels, but they were thrashed.

Next came suspension and wheels

Her first show after some work was done

Now some smoked E-Codes

I sold the first set, sprayed a set of Snowflakes bronze and made my way to the New England Dustoff 2006

Got some new 17s

Next came the badgeless grill and grill spoiler

Her Most recent milestone, shes getting old

The time I have spent with her has been fun, but our time together is coming close to an end. I see about 6 months left before she gets replaced with...

Enjoy

I'm guessing the scoop is for the air intake? I also notice the driving/parking lights on the bumper come and go in the transformation.

The 17's really helped fill the wells and looked the best.

how did you know about my pet bird???

it is for the intake, the filter sits right below the scoop. it actually helps keep everything very cool too. i can run the car HARD, open the hood and grab the intake manifold. even the lower manifold (two piece design) where it connects to the head is significantly cooler than stock. as for the driving lights, those are a dummie panel VW put in to cover where the tow hook attaches to. the problem is the little clips on the turn signals break and they can't clip into the bumper anymore. its just a poor design.

here is the filter poking up to say hi

STR Motorsports was my brother-in-law's old shop

as for the Volvo C30, some of the specs compared to the Mini:
Volvo
218 HP, 236 lb-ft. of torque
167.4" Long, 70.3"wide, 57" tall, 103.9" wheel base
~3100 Lbs

R56 Cooper
172 HP, 177 lb-ft. of torque
146.2" Long, 66.3" wide, 55.4" Tall
~2668 Lbs

so with almost 500lbs lighter, the 177lbs/ft would still make the car
accelerate as fast as the volvo?
