Ferrari Enzo Spot Holy...
Car: "Oh, you're done for the day? Good, I need rings and valve stem seals."
Driver: "Oh, come on. I just did that like 2 weeks ago."
Car: "Yeah, well. Do it again and shut up."
The engine was a Cosworth BDT - a BDA with a turbo
. BDA's as/where always hellish strong engines, the 1.8Turbo in road trim gave a fairly sedate 250hp with fairly low levels of boost, service intervals where no worse than a contempory BDA powered car.The 300 and 350hp versions where less reliable due to the increased boost, but there are RS200's out there that have tens of thousands of miles between rebuilds in this form.
The final (ultimate?) version was the EVO version - 2137cc and a turbo of biblical proportions - 500-800hp was the result. The engine was basically a BDA, but HART replaced most every component in the search for more power.
In 800hp 'mode' they lasted a couple of rally stages at best
in 500hp mode they needed rebuilding rather less often......
I was thinking the same thing- Austin TX-enough cash for an Enzo- Matthew McConnaughey(sp) ? He also has a simular chin to Lance Arstrong-but the hair looks too long (or is that a shadow) and I think he was in Colorado at the time of the pic.
Austin is pretty affluent..at least the suburbs..could be anyone.
As a former Austinite, if you took the top 200 in worth in Austin Matthew would not even come close to crack the ranks. Austin in the past few years have had more Multi- Millionaires made due to the IT sector than many larger cities in the US. And yes, if your a prospevtive first time owner and walk into your local Ferrari dealer with a wad of cash and ask to buy you will more than likely be put on a very looong waiting list or be directed to EBAY. I have a 72 Dino Purchased with help form my local Ferrari Dealership and will only have to wait 1 year for a new one...It is a very exclusive club and they(dealerships) make sure you are made very aware that they are the proverbial key holders to the club!!! That's why you see all of the Rappers driving Lambo's They will sell those things to anyone...Just look at the resale of both and you can tell which Marque keeps it's value. However, if you wait a few years and really want a Lambo, I'm sure most of the car's that have been sold to Rappers will be able to be picked up at pretty cheap prices once they start filing for Bankruptcy.

I pulled up to a neighbor's house to show off my R56. He'd gotten a Scion a while back and I wanted to show my little car off. He's a gearhead too-we exchange bike stories, old car stories. He has a couple old caddy's. A convertible and an older (56?) hardtop. Had a panhead chopper.
A Modena pulls in to the drive behind me. He needs a socket-neighbor is a Matco tool guy. He's nice, shows off the car. I'd never seen one up close. It's cool. 4800 miles. He lives in the neighborhood, has a 348 too !!! !!!
Neighbor exclaims how you just can't have 3 red cars parked next to each other that are such polar opposites.
They a 1925 Dodge touring car-ragtop-red-pulls up. He saw the cars and wanted to look. Wow. 4 polar opposite cars. He shows off his car too.
Cool afternoon!
I love Austin!

LOL. It definitely was NOT Matthew Mconnaughey, and certainly not Lance.
Austin has a number of VERY wealthy people. This guy is also known in Austin for owning a Ferrari F50, and a Ferrari F40, in addition to his Enzo. For those that are familiar with Ferrari's, this is QUITE a collection

. Ferrari's are definitely more exclusive but a Lambo would still be an amazing drive.
