New car in the driveway
Well, my dad is going through his 2nd mid-life crisis (1st resulted in a firebird.) This one involves a brand new, bright red, RX-8. Unfortunatly, since my camera is broke and I havn't gotten around to sending it back to the manufacturer for repair yet, no pics yet. Now my houses driveway consists of an 07' Altima, 07' RX-8, and 03' MINI. I think the MINI is the best, but I may be biased.

Don't tell your dad I said this:
I test drove an RX8 when they first came out. Refined, but sounded like my Norelco razor.
No need to be jealous.

Too bad too because years ago, RX7s were pretty quick. Today, kinda sad. I'm surprised they are still selling them. Same with Eclipes

Didn't Mazda have some problem with overrating them by 20 or 30 hp? Or was that just a rumor?

thats a nice car. and it does sound pretty weird. i was at lime rock for mem day and the second race (only race i made) there was an rx8. it was holding its own against the corvettes and porsches.

I'll have to admit, the old RX7s, when race prepped, are damn annoying noisey, like you can hear them for miles. So, the RX8s must sound better.

Hey, I prefer my MINI but I have to say the RX8 is a great car. One to consider along with Lotus, Porsche and select BMWs.

Its definitely a good choice if you can live with the Hummer-like fuel economy (15mpg).

Yep, but since I'm the kiddie, I get kicked out into the street
MINI > RX-8 > Altima. Shouldn't the MINI and RX-8 get the prestine driveway spots
