Hello Northern California MINI & Mini owners!

There are now 4 clubs in the greater Bay Area to serve your Motoring needs.

REME is based out of the north bay
NorCal MINIs tends to be more in the east bay
MOASF is, well, in and around the SF area
and last but not least
Maverick MINIs is mainly south bay/peninsula area

All are very friendly and open to all MINI & Mini Motorers and all have events in various locales (north, east & south bay, etc.). Each club has its own "personality" so you should check them all out and see which one(s) suit you best.

Other Northern California Clubs:

Gold Country MINI - Sacramento area
Sierra Nevada Mini Club - serving the Lake Tahoe/Reno area
Central Coast Mini Club - Salinas area
Wild Mouse Mini - Stockton to Modesto and Tracy to the foothills
MidCal MINIs - not quite Northern Cali, but close enough

Moderator, can we get this stickied for easy reference? Thanks!

Cheers,

Depends... do you consider Sacramento part of the greater Bay Area?
I guess my title was a little off, huh? Sorry about that.

Seems like if this is going to be sticky-worthy, the list ought to include all NorCal clubs, not just the Bay Area... not to say you can't seperate them by general region, keep all the Bay Area clubs together.

Good idea... that will narrow it down for people. Don't forget the Sierra Nevada MINI club and Mid cal MINIs... boy, the list is growing. I guess Midcal is more central than northern.

I don't think Central Coast MINI is a active site/club. They started to get something together at the beginning of the year(one meeting) and kinda just faded out. No updates, meetings, nothing . The web site has been pretty much blank for a long time.....

You really didn't give it much of a chance. A club will never get established after only a single last minute run. You have to do a bunch of planning and an equal amount of marketing.... and you are going to likely be doing it alone until after it becomes viable. Afterwards the volunteers start to get involved. Pretty soon the club will evolve into whatever it becomes.

If you need some help getting your club off the ground, there are many of us who can give some advice... we've been there too.

Are you sure you won't give it a little more time/another run?

I'm not sure where you should put MidCal MINI's, as we are in a time zone of our own.

Mini Cooper Performance Shops/ Mechanics
Hey Fellas,

I'm new to Mini Coopers. Just got my 04 MCS 2 months ago. Are there local performance shops or mechanics near San Jose, CA? I want to buy a pulley and get it professionally installed, but I have no idea where to go. It would also be nice to go to a store with lots of Mini performance goodies to look at instead of browsing online.

Thanks,

MiniGee

Gold Country MINI appears to be dead and gone. Redwood Empire Mini is representing not only the Bay Area and North Coast, but also Sacramento Valley and Northern Central Valley.

We now have over 100 member cars in the Sacramento area and Northern Central Valley. We have monthly dinners in the Sacramento area and a very active SV-REME group.
