Hate to dig this thread up but...
Next time someone says "hey let's motor down road X, it's freshly paved!" just say "NO!" I spent over an hour Saturday trying to get all the asphalt bits off my brand new rims.
The insides are still coated, but at least the outsides are clean again.

Yeah, I spent the day doing the same thing! Took a long time getting all that crap off. I washed and did a touch up waxing on the Escape Pod after the run. That road WAS paved last year. Don't know where all that patching-up crap came from
. I guess somebody didn't do it right the first time
