LUNCH UPDATE:
Okay, gang, the votes are in and the majority says "brown bag it!"
With that in mind, Mike did a little more research and found the Cowgirl Creamery in Pt. Reyes Station where we can stop and everyone who wishes can pick up sandwiches and such from the deli. (I called ahead and they will be open on Sunday. )
Thanks for your quick responses!

Road Conditions for State Route 1 look good for the run as of this AM. You can find this information on the Redwood Empire Mini Enthusiasts Website MegaBBS under Announcements. There are links to all the road conditions and weather conditions.
Might also suggest that a few of the "organizers" give out their cell numbers to everyone attending so that they can communicate if they get lost or separated from the group. The FRS radios are only good for a mile or two.

Just a bit of my "two-cents":
Here is the REME Run preparation & checklist, some of this is specific to REME runs, but there is good stuff here for any run.
Run Preparation and Check List
So you are planning on attending the next REME run. Do you know what to bring?
Make sure you wear your REME laminated name tag or any other club’s name tags if you are a guest.
Dress is your choice (casual recommended), but the REME club shirts and apparel look great and give instant recognition to others that you belong to Redwood Empire Mini Enthusiasts.
Dress weather appropriately and bring a sweatshirt (REME hooded) or light jacket even during the summertime (if we are anywhere near San Francisco or the coast). By early afternoon, things will turn damp, windy, and foggy even in the middle of July. An umbrella is often a welcome piece of equipment when it rains.
Bring your recently recharged camera (or make sure you have new batteries). Most of our members enjoy taking and sharing photos of our outings. These can be posted on the REME MegaBBS under albums.
These should be posted on the Event Photos section as the individual albums are for photos or your Mini. If you need assistance in posting photographs from a run, email photo-album@redwoodempiremini.com for instructions.
Bring a 2-way radio. If you have not yet purchased them, avoid the cheap ones which only go to 14 channels, or ones that don't have the sub-channels. A good pair of 2-way radios will cost anywhere from $29 to $89 depending on the brand and/or features. Make sure to recharge the batteries the night before.
SET YOUR 2-WAY RADIO to 7-21 (channel 7, sub-channel 21). Other clubs do use other channels, but on REME events, use 7-21 unless noted otherwise.
Bring your recharged cell phone, radio reception is not very clear and is generally limited to 2-8 miles. An emergency may necessitate the use of a cell phone.
If you have a hand held or windshield mounted GPS, bring it and have some fun trying to learn how to use it.
Bring a copy of the run map for that day. This will enable you to know where you are, where you are going, and where you have been. The maps generally give you estimated times between destinations and stops. It helps for planning “potty” and gas stops.
Bring a small folding chair if the event is a car show or if you plan on parking for extended periods of time.
You should also bring some light snack food and some bottled water in addition to your picnic lunch or restaurant purchased meal. Sometimes we run behind schedule and often eat a late lunch.
Fill your tank before you arrive at the meeting point.
Bring your AAA card (or equivalent).... never leave home without it.
Most of all have FUN, be safe, and enjoy the day.

Not sure which coffee shop, but you can see them all from the parking lot.
There are a few bars as well. They should be open by 10.

at 7:00 a.m. (post #112)?
And, if the meeting time is 7:00 a.m., does the Page Mill group plan to
head up to Mel's for 8 a.m. breakfast, or will it be heading straight up
to the GC spot, but through a longer, more scenic (read: twisty) route.
Also, has anyone else noticed that this is now by far the longest
thread in the forum?

I believe there are 2 meeting times for the Page Mill spot:
7am for those doing the breakfast thing
8am for those going straight to the Vista Point
Yeah, this thread (and the Run) sorta took on a life of its own!
144 posts and counting!

Gerry, Wil, Lidia and I are meeting at 6am in Boulder Creek at the gas station.
We will cruse the Park-N-Ride at 280 and Page Mill at 7am to see if anyone is there (maybe SingKat).
We will probably be eating breakfast at 8am at Mel's in San Fran on Lombard Street.
Final meet up at the start of NR#6 at 9am at the north side of GGB.

Nikki,
Since the Vista Point is only accessable from the Northbound (Golden Gate Bridge)
"North (Marin Side) Vista Point: Parking here is free up to four hours, and there are restrooms. This lot is accessible only from northbound US 101."
Any chance to move the meetup point over to the "Marin Headlands" which is at the North end of GGB on the west (ocean side)? From the GGB you can go under the bridge, cross under the highway and park where they film all the NFL commercials. Great views!!! This would be for the people coming from the North on 101.
Don't want o complicate this, so if this doesn't work, we can meet up in Fairafx at 10AM.
