Nikki/BAMMERs Run #6
Nikki, I could go either Sunday on the run up north. Whatever works best
. I looked on NorCal's site and it looks like they have a run on the 23rd to the Pinnacles that day as well. If we do the run on the 16th, I may go to NorCal run.

Here's a real radical suggestion....
The Nor-Cal Shelby club is having an open track event the weekend of the 22nd-23rd. There is a driving school (half-day) on the 22nd in the morning, then open track in the afternoon, and all day sunday. It's not limited to Nor-cal memebers, and there are other members who run Minis (two or three at the last event I did). It's definantly more than a "run" but it's on a real track!
Details are here: http://www.norcal-saac.org/news/0604th.htm

My wife is checking into schedule juggling...
If she has to work and her Mom or a friend can take Alison for the weekend, I'll be there for both days. If she has to work and we can't get coverage for Alison, I won't be there either day! If she can get the time off, we'll be there for both days......

ps, for non-members you get a $20 add on fee..... But it's still cheap. Also, if you want to run with the club at other events, just join up! The only event that requires a Ford or Ford power is the Mini-Nats in september. All others are open to anything that can pass tech, and isn't open wheeled.

FYI MINI AD AGENCY RUN IS ON APRIL 30th
Final details are just coming together. Meet up at Chrissy Field in S.F. at 8am. A map with route and rally type questions will be given out at start. It will end at their office in Sausilito around 1pm. Lunch will be provided. More info shortly.
Bring your car too!

Looks like that whip needs cracked again!
Back to our regularly scheduled program:
With all the recent chatter, it's looking like the 16th is best.
The 22nd is a track day and the 23rd is the NorCal Pinnacles run.
Wanna start working out a route? Not much else has been suggested so a coastal run up north seems favorable. Then we can have lunch with REME/GCM/NorCal.
Still taking input/ideas for run #6.

I'd like to join on the 16th
I haven't been to one of these runs yet but if it's on
the 16th I would like to attend. I live
in Ben Lomond and recently bought a 05 Red /Black
JCW Cooper S.
Aside::
I now have a 1988 Porsche 928S4 with ~85k miles on it
for sale ($14K OBO). Its in great shape with all records brand new
timing belt too!-
I need the room in my garage for the new Mini!
In 1987 the 928S4 was the fastest production car in
the WORLD - it's fast but you need a lot of road to open
it up, we're talking controllable & stable 160+mph.
It's not as good on the really tight stuff as the Mini
but on the open road over 80 mph it's amazing.

Over to Sonoma Coast State Beach might be nice.

That would give us a mix of coast and back country and hills and valleys. I haven't been on Fairfax-Bolinas for some time and it is one of my favorites. Over the hills and through the woods with views of the ocean and all of that good stuff.
When you get this nailed down to a time, date, and place, I'd be happy to list it on my MINI/Mini events distribution mailer.

That's if you want others to join in.
