Any NORCAL members who have a ride or event that they would like to enter in for next years plans ? We will be collecting ideas for the next month and then put out a plan for the next year. Any ideas ? Any thing you want to do again or don't want do again ? Speak up its your club . LarryP

 

Hello...new NorCal MINIs member, still waiting for my info pack. I live in Sacramento.

 

Larry - Last summer went on the Mini Mania run to Yuba City. Real nice country, nice MINI road, can travel from Nevada City to Truckee on the back roads - Mini Mania might even be pursuaded into giving the group a discount if we stop by. This run could incorporate a number of the central valley club members plus a couple of Cooper owners in Truckee (or even Reno). Just a thought.

 

We have our slight share of canyon roads here in SoCal but I envy you guys up in the North, so many twisties at your behest. Wish I could join y'all on one of these runs.

(Just today I was checking out landscape maps of Highway 49. Mmmmmm!)

 

We will try to get up Sac way early in the year (due to many requests ). Yuba City,Truckee, Reno area a possibility . blacknblue come on up and go for a ride !

 

How about a track day at Thunderhill?

I'm a track instructor for Lance Keigwin (motorcycles), so I'm there many days during the year. I'd love to get the Mini on the track.

I'm all for that Idea. NCRC has lots of dates and an inexpensive ($40) membership fee. I have already joines. I am the only MINI in the club so far. I am in Santa Rosa. A drive through Clear lake and over to I5 is a great twisty road followed by a great track day.
