I figured I'd chime in and say hi since I believe I already may have, or will soon meet some of you. My name is Peter B (not to be confused with pbraun) and I too work at MoFC. Which brings the total # of Peters at MoFC to 3.

My role there is valet/test driver/car prep guy/errand runner. Chances are if you either dropped your car off for service, or took delivery since April 5th I drove your car to/from our service/prep location 1.5 mi away...and believe me when I say I'm very careful with all customer cars. If you knew how picky (read ****) I was when I took delivery of my own car you'd understand why I'm so particular.

I Just want to say that I feel that the whole team there does a phenomenal job of delivering excellent customer service, and I'm very happy to be working there. Despite the recent surge in sales we've seen, their commitment to the customer has not faltered.

On that note, howdy to all, and please say hello if you see me in the showroom (I'm the youngest and best looking of the the 3 Peters). I'm usually there from 7:30am to 6:30pm trying to make the sales and service operation run smoother, and I'd love to be able to put a face on to peoples' screen name!

Peter, aka PB2.0, aka New Guy

Howdy from cyberspace, Peter! We've met, too - you were Meguiar-ing the MINIs in the showroom...but with MoFC's sales going through the roof, I don't think there are any in their to "Quick Detail" except maybe that Classic Mini.

OMG!!!I think I ate the majority of those cookies, they were so good. They reminded me of ones my grandma makes from time to time. I was literally eating them the whole day. Let me know next time you come by te showroom so I'll make sure to be there...even if its my day off.

I've made friends with the quick detailer. We have one car in the showroom now (besides old Betsy) and its a pre-loved mini, so my work load is a bit smaller compared to 2 months ago, but that doesn't mean I sit around, there's usually something that needs doing.

Well, I COULD be old enough to be somebody's granma... !
It's my Mom's old family recipe. Is your granma Portuguese??

Glad you liked 'em. Y'all got lucky that day - I brought 2 batches - I wanted to be sure the service guys got some for their hard work on my car - but George and Peter slyly did the work themselves!!!

I didn't get a chance to be introduced to the MoFC cast but I just picked up my brand new MY baby last night. Everything went smoothly as possible and my MA was very courteous. I appreciate all the effort made by him. I was recommended by Otra and I am recommending MoFC to any one else on the fence. I could have driven 15 minutes to New Country but instead made a 1.5hr trip to Stamford. 'Nuff Said

Cheers

To be fair I don't have actual proof and New Country may not deserve all the bad rep.

Basically my judgement to go with MoFC was based on the prompt response of e-mails I received from my MA, and from what I read of other's experiences at New Country. Also my parents had leased 2 Mercedes-Benz vehicles from New Country MB, I didn't exactly have a warm feeling about them, so by association I was biased against NC.

I was abroad and had only internet for car shopping. I had a response from a NC MA but after I replied, I hadn't received another. I had also sent one more just in case.

So in the end I didn't really visit these 2 dealerships in person but MoFC accommodated for it and I preferred their prices/location combo the most.

Hey zzMini

Do you you ever bring your MCS to Down the Hatch? It is a great spot in the summer but the parking lot is tight so I can understand why someone would hesitiate to park their baby there.

My wife and I go there fairly often in the summer. I will have to wait until later this summer to take my yet to be born MC for a ride over .

I'm very close to that place - and in fact, it is the starting point for my famous Run Around the Lake run! We don't go there that often, but let me know next time you plan to head over - we can have a mini MINI reunion...

Oh - I do HIGHLY approve of your color combo!! White wheels rule! I got some chrome on the outside, but kept the white mirrors.

Actually, I can say in all honesty that you made a wise choice based on the Otra recommendation

While I purchased mine from Inskip in Warwick RI....much, much closer to me than MoFC, I did so becuase New Country was not a pleasant experince, at all.

And to add insult to injury, NC charges $12 more than anyone else for a paint touch-up kit. Trust me I found out the hard way a couple of weeks back, but we remedy'd that situation as well.

funny, how similar. i live in central ct too and purchased from MOFC insted of new country. i got no response from the sales guy i spoke with about financing.. and it just happened that MOFC had the car i fell in love with immediately. and that was before they have been ridiculously busy.

however, service at new country has always been super. if there is an issue with anything its fxed immediately.. so i always go there... in fact, i'll be in this week!

I actually met a person at a give this afternoon and he experinced the same treatment I recieved at NC, except he got the poor treatment at Inskip RI. Now he did say they were really busy (there was almost nobody at NC when I was there) but he's not willing to let it slide so based on my reading of this thread I recommended MoFC and he said would give it a shot. To be honest he travels up north quite often so NH is really where he'd like to purchase his Clubman and worry about service closer to home when the need arises.

I dunno, if NC didn't just burn me for the Touch-up kit, perhaps I could have cut NC some slack.....naw.

I need to service my car too. I posted a thread about the high pitched whining noise which another member mentioned it was the electrical water pump. Do you think NC service can finish the job in a Saturday? or what has been the experiene like with NC service. Were you able to book an appointment that was very soon?

The RAtL run was my very first run - and I can honestly say it was well-coordinated. That should be coming up soon, no?
