Competent dealers in CT?
Just wanted to put my 2 cents in...
My dad and I originally went to New Country MINI (we live in the New Haven area). We originally had a GREAT MA, but apparently he was popular so he had to give us to someone else.. CRAIG. I think someone else mentioned him earlier in the thread. This guy was rude and would argue with us about everything. We left feeling frustrated, but we were set on buying a MINI, so we called the next day. We didn't want to have to deal with Craig again, but they told us we had to talk to the person that helped us the last time we were there. He told my dad that we weren't allowed to change the order that we had played around with on the computer (which was about $10,000 more than we wanted to spend, but were just having fun).
So, we picked up the phone and called MINI of Fairfield County and have been dealing with Antonio ever since! I have never met the guy, but he returns all of my phone calls within 30 minutes and my emails within the day. I am expected to pick up my car this coming Tuesday!
I highly recommend MoFC over NCMINI any day! They are much more attentive, understanding, and easy to deal with! Plus, they are selling us the car for cheaper than NCMINI.

)And congrats on your imminent delivery.
Stop by and introduce yourself on NEMINI - there are lots of local events in CT, and it's a great group of folks.

Next service is coming up and Peter in Service at MoFC got me a good date of service
I've since changed my mind about frequency of oil changes - every half of the mileage between services - no matter if it costs something or not - better performance.
Oh well, I hope I finally get an R56 so I truly can see how it is for a loaner, even though I took a test drive at New Country during the introduction evening, way back when...

Good CT Mini servicing dealers 3 years hence?
So, I finally purchased a CM in January. I live in central CT, but purchased my Mini CM S at Inskip in RI. Any thoughts on current competent Mini Servicing dealers in CT now since I first asked this question? Or, should I just travel the 100 miles to RI.
Thanks
Thanks
Just go to New Country Mini in Hartford. I was there like 3 times between last week and this week. Dropped off my Dad's Benz and had my door handle corrected under warranty because it was sticking. They warned me that my brakes are wearing out and convinced me that it's dangerously worn and wanted $600 just for the rear. Screw that, I just bought brakes and rotors on Tirerack and waiting for a clear weekend to do it. Depends on what service you are getting...? I bought my Mini in FC but since I don't live any where close, I just bring it to New Country. No probs for the past 2-3 years.
MINI of fairfield is the worst. I was having some issues (covered under warranty) and the guy said that they couldnt fit me in for 3 weeks. And he had an attitude about it. I guess the philosophy over there is that people who bother them with problems can wait as long as they damn well please

Here is my 2 cents....check out Greasys Garage in Worcester,Ma. Pet and John are outstanding in supporting MINI and all other makes and models.
Check out their website http://greasysgarage.com and give them a call.I know it's a bit of a drive for ya, but it will be worth the trip.

Bumping this back from the dead as I'm a new used Mini owner and I'm curious if anyone has an recommendations on dealerships in CT/NY for service. I'm currently covered under warranty/service for the next 2 years on my 2010 Cooper S. I bought it certified from MINI of Manhattan but as I'm located in Danbury, CT I'm debating between them and MINI of Fairfield for service as both are roughly the same distance. I want to hook up with a good dealership for possible warranty work and service.
I remain a loyal MINI of Fairfield County client. I've had quite a few MINIs (don't dare list them all!) and have always had good customer service as well as repair service. I highly recommend them even though I now live in the northwest corner of CT and have a much longer drive than I did when I lived about 15 minutes away in Westchester County, NY.
One of my best friends who posted earlier in this thread ZZmini also uses MoFC even though hers is out of warranty.

European Specialists in Branford, CT
I've gone to these folks around three times. Very competent and good prices and they give a loaner car if you give them enough notice. I had it with traveling from New Haven to either MoFC or NC; this place is convenient and they know what they're doing. My two cents...
Rochester New York Dealer
We bought our minis from Rochester New York at Mni of Rochester. They are wonderful there. Highly recommend if you are in that area. We have the hardtop S manual and the countryman s automatic. Love them.
MOFC has been very helpful to me. They are about an hour away, so not terribly convenient. But all the oil-change facilities near me have stopped servicing Minis, so that's where I go for all my service now.
They just replaced the power steering fan and pump on my '04 120,000 mile MCS under warranty, changed the oil at a competitive price and washed the car for free. Nice people, very accommodating, and great service. Highly recommended.
