I would like to be part of your trip to Bear Mountain area, I will be coming from Long Island and might suggest that the LI participants meet somewhere near the Throggs Neck or Whitestone bridges.

Hmmm...There is a something "Suites" hotel immediately off route 24 East - I'm thinking about 1- 1 1/2 miles from Route 287. You would get off on Route 24 East and it's your first exit. The hotel is in view from the exit ramp also. If this sounds interesting let me know either thru the thread or a PM.

Morales - Would you like to meet us off of Route 24 East? There's a hotel - teh something "Suites" right off the first exit when you get on Route 24 East from Route 287. The route 24 exit is not far from the 287/80 junction. You could get on Route 287 south and it's the 3rd exit (route 24 east) and the hotel is the first exit off of route 24. Make a right off of the exit and it's on the left about a block or two away. Think about it - HARMINI is meeting me there at 10:30am. Can u make it??? It's only about 4 miles out of your way (I think). That's nothing compared to how much we're going to be motoring!

What a day Feb 9th will be. I just realized that is also the day of the 2003 NBA All-Star Game (8pm EST). A whole day of MINIing, then home to watch the game. Aaaah, life is good.

Hello everyone, Took my mini on the drive we are doing next week. Stopped to check out stadium restaurant in Garrison , the place we are meeting for lunch. Its a really nice sports bar and restaurant. If we all chip in 10 dollars they will put out a lunch for us. This is pretty reasonable. The sports collection is fantastic and the parking lot is big. I think everyone will find this place great for chating. The food was really good.

I am planning on leaving Long Island around 10:00 am Any Long Islanders out there. I say we meet at the police Barricks on the Southern state Parkway and head up from there.

Some of the LI cars are meeting at the Southern State going West just before Exit 13 there is a State Trooper Barricks and a rest stop. At 10:30 AM. See ya there?

 

Those MINIs from NJ that are going to Bear Mountain - Just a reminder we are meeting at the Sommerville Suites off exit 2A off of Route 24. You'll be heading WEST on Route 510 I believe also called Columbia Turnpike. As soon as you get off of Route 24, the hotel is ahead up the hill on the left. It's the big building you see on the left. Make a left into the parking light BEFORE the traffic light. See you guys there on Sunday 10:30am.
