Hi there MiniQueen Could you possibly let a few new mini owners know about this
I know there are a lot of people in Westchester and Rockland that would probably want to come.
Thanks

Just read a PM from MiniQueen and she has let a bunch a people know about the 9th. Thanks MiniQueen!!!!! Since it looks like we will have a good turn out we should probably reserve a place in Cold Spring for lunch. Anyone have any ideas on where to go? I am willing to call to let them know to expect about 20 people What time do you think we will get to Cold spring ??1pm or should I say between 1-2.

Places for lunch___________?

Thanks

I'll be there. Barring inclement weather, of course. Just have to work out the logistics.

>>>>Also is anyone bring two way radios? If so it would be worth finally buying one.>>
>>
>>
>>Illustrator - I'm definitely going to pick up a pair this week. Also, I believe some of the other guys already have them. And anyone that doesn't, you might want to pick up a pair so we can talk on the official MINI station - ch 7 sub 21
>>
>>BTW, what route # is Palisades Interstate highway? Is that 287 or 87 or something?
>>
>>One more thing - are radar detectors legal in NY state??????? I'll be bringing mine for the long haul up there.
>>
>>OK - one last thing - do you guys in NJ (chatham, whitehouse station, etc...) want to meet somewhere before hand so we can motor up route 287 together? B/c it looks like the meeting place is about an hour and 20-30 minutes from us.

I'd like to hook up with anyone coming up 287. I'll be getting on at the Route 80 interchange. Do you guys have an approximate time you'll be there? I'll have my radio tuned in to 7-21.

I'm coming up 287 Morales. I'll be getting on a bit earlier - at the Route 24 junction. There's someone in Chatham coming and another from Whitehouse - I'm trying to see if I can meet with them on the way up also. Let's try to get this "MINI" caravan together!

I'm almost positive I'm going, barring a blizzard...

Greatgro, where do you want to meet up at?

And what kind of two-way radios are people using/buying?

Excellent. This'll be a sweet ride.
Keep me posted as to what time you guys think you'll be at 80. I've got someone coming in from Pa. that I'll try and get to meet us there as well.

Picked up a Motorola Talkabout T5400 today. I will have it tuned to the offical MINI channel, channel 7, sub channel 21 (7-21) on the 9th. Now we can all communicate throughout the caravan. (at least those of us with two ways)

Oh by the way these radios are only $18 at Walmart. Worth getting one or two for the 9th for sure!

just make sure you dont exceed the break in speed on your way to florida. It will be tempting with all that highway!

I'll be coming from New Brunswick (exit 9 on Route 287). Some of us could meet up near the Route 24 exit at 10:30am then motor on to meet Morales and anyone else at the Route 80 exit. That should give us plenty of time to make it to Bear Mtn. by noon.

Greatgro? Is there an easy meeting place on Route 24 near the junction of 287 for those of us coming from the south?

(It looks like I will be motoring with a whole caravan of NJ MCS owners, hope you guys don't mind my lil' CVT tagging along :smile

Whew, my HARMINI won't be the only MC in the NJ caravan. Dandp, do you know of a good meeting place on Rt. 24 near the 287 junction?
