MINI's on the Delaware(dellawhere?) Sunday August 7th. The plan is to meet at MINI of Fairfield County at 7:00 a.m. and leave at 7:30 sharp. Next stop, 7:45-7:50, MINI of Westchester to pick up everyone there, and also refill coffee cups at Drunkin Donuts across the street. Leave there 7:55, and head to the Tappan Zee Bridge. There's a rest stop on 287/87 North past the bridge with a large garage attached. Meet there for ATM, bathroom break and pick up more MINIs. Next on the route is exit 16(I beleive) route 17W or North, and up to route 84 in New York State. We'll take 84 to the last rest stop overlooking the valley below, between exit 2 and 1. We'll pick up any last minute MINI's there, and head down to exit 1. We'll get off exit 1, take a left, and head up 97 towards the famous Hawk's Nest. The veterans will space out enough to play catch up on the best twisties on the Delaware River. 15 miles North of Port Jervis will be our place to whet our appetite for canoeing. The campground is called Jerry's Canoe and Campground, in Pond Eddy, NY. The anticipated cost is $30.00 per person. Bring your own cooler, with what you prefer to drink. No glass is allowed. Bring a picnic lunch, dry clothes for the ride home, water shoes, bathing suits, and if you're wearing glasses, those string thingies to keep from losing them when you dump your boat. Cheers,
