Looking at pulling my headlights off / apart to paint them. Unfortunately, a few of the bolts just spin and spin... Not sure if I need to take it in to have someone drill them? I don't want to break a bunch of tabs. I've broken enough plastic on this car. LOL

Also - I have a foggy fog light (HA!) that I haven't been able to clear up. My thought was that heat from the bulbs would get the water evaporated, but it doesn't happen. Either way, there's moisture trapped in it. So do I need a new fog light, or do I need to replace a gasket of some kind?

Thoughts?

Lamp replacements for the fogs are going to be PIAA Plasma Ion Yellow Bulbs

I've heard others having the some issue with the screws on the headlights spinning. As for the foglight you will have to replace the whole assembly. I've been thinking about going to yellow fog bulbs.

Joey Mod FTW! When taking the headlights apart, does the lense unclip or do you have to bake them? I've been thinking about do a retrofit HID projectors into mine from here.

It would be cheaper for me to do that than buying a set for $1K.

You have to bake them, unfortunately. Not sure if you have to for the halogen setup, but the Xenon lights you do. Also - going to get rid of that egg yolk while I'm in there. Bav Auto have stealth bulbs in stock as well?

I get paid on Friday.

A heat gun will work. Found this DIY

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-to-do-it.html

Stealth bulbs should be a stock item.

Nick are you still interested in swapping ebrake handles?

If you know an easy way to do it.

We have to take the gaiter off first, clip the zip tie that holds it on and then slide the handle - it's a compression fit - kind of like the shift ****. But yeah, simple enough, We should have a couple small zip-ties ready for when we put them back together, though.

Ive been wanting to do the same thing. Color match the bezel, and black out the ring but my damn headlights keep doing the same thing. You could always use a heat gun to pull the front lense off, leaving the headlight housing in the support. Only issue is, you would have to protect the whole car from overspray. This is a project that is def on my project list.
As far as the fog lamp, there is a tiny breather in housing itself. Check to see if it's plugged full of ****; i.e. dirt, grime, small childern, Ru Paul, or even old broken fog light fragments. Check the seals around the bulbs themselves as well. If one is cracked or missing, you should start crying on cue.

You have the tails? I've had the Blackline headlight trims :p

I need to pick up some primer and Jet Black spray paint so I can paint both the new hood scoop and boot lid grip trim.

I don't need them. I already have the front and rear trims. I am waiting on ECStuning to send me the passenger side.
