RMW Tuning Days in Eastern Connecticut - 2011
- Alta AccessPort ECU from Alta's website alone = $895
- RMW offering New Alta AccessPort ECU + R56 Tune + Dyno time = $895
Thanks.
Dyno is always seperate. Different company... $100 is well spent as it allows the tune to be tweaked for your car specifically. The dyno is not necessary for a tune. I have a tune that was sent via email. It works great. The dyno will give me a bit more and maximize the tune.
Personalized dyno tuning is the best way since it will show what the first tune is doing and he can monitor parameters to tweak everything so it is as close to optimal as possible.

From what I gather here the retune is $50. if you buy the AP from Alta not Jan then the tune is $100
If you buy the AP from Jan the tune will be included in the cost of the AP. Dyno time will be additional $100.

I should bring $200 just in case then.
Put me down for Monday @ 2:30. R56.
Jan: I also want to the Accessport. You'll have that with you? Also, please confirm that the Accessport will let me switch back and forth between the JCW and RMW tunes. Thanks.

HRM, I don't wanna be a pain, and this is just a suggestion, but it might be better to have the list of folks who are in on this, posted and updated on the first page of this thread. What do you think?
I think all you have to do is edit your post, and you should be good.
Like I said, just a suggestion. It's easier to see it on page 1, post 1, then it is to try and remember what page it's on later.

I really don't want to make three pages to update and just wanted to keep this thread active so Those who posted in it would get updates..
Good idea though.
This post lives it's own life, but, if you want organized at the top neatness, a duplicate list is here at the drivetrain mod forum.

what a disappointment that this is sooo early... :(
the weather is still way to crappy out to start working on the car
how am i supposed to install a cam, header, exhaust, injectors, s/c and crank pulley in time with all this snow outside still.
i really was hoping this would be at least a month or more later. i know im not the only one that feels this way

Forgive my ignorance, I'm a little new to this process with Jan and RMW.
I have a 2010 R56 - I'd like an RMW tune + dyno to maximize its affectiveness against my mods which are, OBX catless DP + OBX midpipe and WMW cat-back as well as a useless JCW airbox.
I figure I will need the Accessport or whatever OBD2 flash tool as I do not have this yet.
Can someone break down for me the costs to participate and purchase this and whom to pay?
Thanks in advance!
